Some P5 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was seized from a remittance center in Ozamiz City in Misamis Occidental province on Tuesday.
The illegal drugs were wrapped in carbon paper and placed in two packages, then hidden inside a box of milk cartons and placed in a bag, GMA Northern Mindanao's Kaye Mercado reported.
Both packages weighed one kilo, the report said.
An initial investigation showed the package came from one Ronnie Lugod of Quezon City.
Authorities are now tracking down one Christina dela Cruz, the supposed recipient of the package.
For now, the seized drugs were brought to the Philippine National Police provincial Crime Laboratory for examination.
